Aoraki Routes is run by Kiwis who've driven this country thirty times over. We publish the routes, regions, season notes, and cost reality you'll need before anybody asks you to book.
What we do
We compare every credible NZ motorhome layout, every depot, every realistic price point, and we explain what actually changes between a 7-day trip, a 14-day trip, and a 28-day trip. We do it the way a friend who lives here would — with specific road numbers, real DOC site names, honest weather notes, and no marketing-fluff.
What we don't do
- We don't operate motorhomes. The vehicles you'll drive are owned and run by their rental operators. We help you choose well; they hand you the keys.
- We don't compare ourselves against every other site. We're focused on one thing: helping you plan well.
- We don't take payment from you. When you're ready to book, you book directly with the operator we recommend.
Why we exist
Most travellers planning a New Zealand motorhome holiday end up with twenty browser tabs and no clarity. There's no single trustworthy place that explains what size you need, what time of year suits you, what the trip actually costs, and which routes match your dates. We built that place because we kept being asked these questions over and over by friends-of-friends from overseas.
How we earn
When you book a motorhome through one of our recommendations, the rental operator pays us a small commission. You pay the same price as booking direct. We don't mark up rates, we don't show fake discounts, and we don't push you toward the operator who pays us the most — our recommendations are based on what fits your trip. Full disclosure here.
