1. About this site

Aoraki Routes ("we", "us") publishes editorial trip-planning content for travellers driving New Zealand by motorhome, at nzcamperhire.com. We do not own, operate, or rent out motorhomes. We recommend independent rental operators where the fit makes sense for your trip, and we earn a referral commission from them when you book — at no extra cost to you.

2. Quote and consultation requests

Submitting a form on this site (planning pack, route plan, trip outline, consultation request) does not create a booking or reservation. It is a request for us to write back to you with advice — a route note, a season check, a vehicle-size recommendation, or a suggested operator and link to book directly with them. A booking is only formed once you transact with that operator under their terms.

3. Bookings and rental terms

If you proceed to book a motorhome based on our recommendation, the rental agreement is between you and the rental operator. Vehicle condition, insurance, mileage, fuel policy, driver requirements, age restrictions, additional fees, and any disputes are governed by your contract with that operator. We do not modify, override, or guarantee any operator's terms.

4. Editorial accuracy

Routes, distances, road numbers, DOC site availability, ferry timetables, weather notes, and rental price ranges are factual at time of writing but can change. Always check current conditions, opening hours, and bookings before relying on specific details. We update content regularly but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy.

5. Content licence

Editorial content (text, photography, route maps) on this site is copyright Aoraki Routes. You're welcome to share short excerpts with attribution and a link back. Republishing full articles requires written permission.

6. Personal data

Information you submit via any form is used solely to respond to your request and, with your consent, to send follow-up trip-planning material. See our privacy policy.

7. Limitation of liability

Our role is to publish trip-planning advice and refer you to rental operators. We are not responsible for the conduct of any rental, vehicle condition, or any losses arising from your use of a vehicle, your travel decisions, or any operator's actions. Your remedy in any dispute about a rental lies with the operator under your rental agreement, not with us.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any dispute concerning these terms or our editorial services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
